What does it mean that my domain is locked?

Many domain registrars will "lock" your domain to prevent unauthorized transfers of your domain to another registrar or web host. Locking your domain can help protect your domain from unauthorized third parties who might try to misdirect or transfer your domain without your permission.
If you would like to transfer your domain to Yahoo!, you'll need to unlock your domain. (If your domain is locked, your registrar will reject the transfer.) Many registrars will make tools available for you to unlock your domain yourself; or contact your registrar directly for assistance.
